France - Corsica and St Tropez

Our visit to the Island of Corsica, France is one of the 18 ports and 6 countries featured in our 22 day Mediterranean Cruise (2015)

The coastal town of Calvi on the island of Corsica is host to those who love the ocean and those who love wonderful food.

A tribute to Christopher Columbus

Wealthy boys toys !!

Although looking very "Italian" in style the island is still very French

Fine food, and plenty of it, wherever you look.  I'm in heaven!!

A simple lunch of fresh bread roll, French cheese and cured meat enjoyed by the water front in Calvi

Next stop - upbeat St Tropez, France

St Tropez is as glitzy and glamorous as it gets – the rich, famous and beautiful come here to flaunt their stuff on the golden sands of the French Riviera’s beaches. They also shop in the town’s famously luxurious and forward-thinking fashion boutiques, drink and dance to the tunes of its unbeatably chic nightlife scene and soak up the vibes of its enduringly rich cultural heritage

Flavia (above) looking every bit as glamorous

Artists haven offering a great opportunity to negotiate the price for a genuine work of art to take home

Checking out the neighbours - the home of Brigitte Bardot - while on a short and vert pleasant coastline tour

Loved this painting of the St Tropez water front

The French love asparagus both green and white.

French Pastries

Crepe for lunch - with French Fries as a side of course!!
