Whilst visiting California in 2009 I wanted to take time out to visit the "wine country" known as Napa Valley in Napa County. My tourism career in Perth was in the Swan Valley producing wines since 1829 so I was keen to compare.
Family run wineries often provided cheeses to accompany their range of wines and V. Sattui Winery & Deli did not disappoint with a range of over 200 styles of international cheeses on offer.
Customers could select their wine, cheeses, plastic plates and cutlery and enjoy a picnic in the picturesque grounds of the winery.
After lunch a stroll around the historic buildings and museum was so interesting and gave visitors an insight into the Sattui family's heritage dating back to the early days in Italy.
